Outfit: Ringing in the New Year

Happy 2012! For New Year’s Eve last night I kept things simple and low-key… With a dash of glitz, of course!

I don’t always make New Year’s resolutions, but this year I have a few:

1. Be a better Carolina fan, and watch at least one regular season game before March Madness begins.
2a. Get dressed more often – specifically when I’m just working from home.
2b. Be more experimental with my wardrobe, and push myself to combine what I have in new ways.
3. Send more snail mail! I have the stationery and the stamps, so why not?

Do you have any resolutions for 2012? Whether you do or not, I say here’s to a happy and healthy year for all of us!

    I was just thinking this today. I’m working from home and I thought I should really stop just lounging around in my pyjamas.

    I definitely also want to push the boundaries more in terms of trying new things, and get more dressed up even for every day things. My New Year’s celebrations were really inspiring style-wise and also that combined with seeing my favourite style bloggers and watching a lot of Mad Men is making me feel rather drab. Time to step it up!

      Today I woke up and immediately took a shower, put on a skirt, and a top! But then I added leggings under the skirt and a hoodie over the top so the overall effect is the same as it usually is. Progress though.
