Outfit: High & Low at the Highline

After yesterday’s preview, here’s my full Missoni for Target outfit:

It was lucky that I was out shopping the night before, because a formerly reliable pair of shoes had become fussy, and the outfit I planned with them didn’t go with the only other pair of shoes I brought: the hot pink flats.

Shot at the Highline, a New York landmark I had been dying to visit. I love that an old elevated railroad was turned into a beautiful public space. Luckily for me it was a convenient pitstop between runway shows in Chelsea.

I love how the linear pleats smoothly transition into chevron pleats at the hem.

In the true spirit of Guerrilla Fashion Week, I set up my camera on a bench right next to a man talking on the phone. It was the best place for the shot, after all. After he got off the phone he asked if I taking photos of his shoes. I found that to be a rather odd question considering my camera was pointed away from him. But after that he offered to take my photograph (above).

I bought this skirt online (after hours of trying and even going to a store). I loved the bottom of it! Looks fantastic!

Hey congrats on getting the self-hosted WordPress up! That ain’t easy, especially when you have to export your old blog. Also, how’d you like the High Line? I wrote a long article about it for my college newspaper, involving traveling to NY, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since.

Thanks Evan! I took a shortcut and used the WordPress Guided Transfer, but there’s still plenty of html for me to learn and muck about in. I looooved the Highline! I had been wanting to go my past ~4 trips to NYC, but I always ran out of time. Now it’s something I want to hit every time I go back!

Ah, very cool! Yeah I pretty go to the Highline every time I’m in NY, complemented with a stop at the Cookshop, an awesome restaurant my cousin manages right by the entrance at 20th and 10th. I haven’t been to the High Line since they opened the new segment though, so obviously a new trip is in order.
