Outfit: Bringing Business Back

Out here in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, I rarely run into a dress code. When I interviewed for my current job I was told I didn’t need to wear a suit – and over the past few years I’ve given away a good amount of my “business” wardrobe. So when my invitation to the Balenciaga preview at the de Young Museum said “business attire”, I scratched my head a bit wondering what I would wear.

Looking into my closet now I see a couple of different things I could have done, but on that day I went with a black button-up shirt, a black skirt, and tasseled pumps. The shoes are so business-like I rarely wear them, but they were perfect for the occasion!
