I’m not sure how I feel about this dress. The maxi style could never work for me because I’m so short. It also wouldn’t be too flattering on my waste. What are your thoughts on its practicality for the shorter, slimmer folks?

I think it would be hard for someone shorter. For a tall person this would be tea-length or a maxi dress, and at first i was thinking someone shorter could get it hemmed to be a shorter maxi-dress, but the hem is asymmetrical so that would be hard. If you were super-rich I bet you could get Marc Jacobs to do a custom one 😉

I like the concept–the flow, the colors. I feel it could be more delicate with the large flower detail. In fact, I think it is too much around the face. Maybe if it was more unstructured? The “willow” body frames would look great in this, but I could see a curvy, athletic frame looking great in this (great contrast), but the hair should be off the face to showcase the dress lines.

I love the huge flower at the top – it’s so dramatic. I think a lot of body types would look good in this because it’s not form-fitting so you can’t really tell what shape the person has underneath.
