30×30 #8, 18: To a Tee

Everyone has days where they just wear a t-shirt and jeans. While I do try to dress up those days with a cool necklace or lots of rings, I don’t normally give them an outfit photo. But of course, I had to document everything in my 30×30, even the t-shirts.

This outfit had a couple of firsts for me: I’ve never worn a belt “hip-slung” before; they’re always at an empire waist or in belt loops. Second, I had never before worn cowboy boots beneath jeans. Bootcut jeans are popular, but do people actually wears boots beneath them anymore?

I also recently discovered the hip slung belt. I used to think it looked silly but it really does tie an outfit together! I like wearing boots under jeans and actually I have bought boots in the past that I never even intended to wear with dresses/skirts, but because they looked good peeking out from bootcut jeans! Love this look; simple but with some quirky accents to it. The jeans fit you really well too!
