You’ve heard of the “LBD”, the Little Black Dress. Her daytime sister is the “SBD”, the Simple Black Dress. A tomboy compared to her chic sister, the SBD is nevertheless just as useful. You can keep it simple and let the dress shine, or use it as a foil underneath something more showy.

On the left I took the SBD to its chicer side, while on the right I went Western.

I have to admit, I didn’t like this outfit at all. I specifically wanted to wear accessories that conjured up nature or possibly being in the jungle, but I didn’t have the proper shoes! I have two pairs of shoes that would have completed the outfit so well, but they weren’t in my 30×30. So compared to patent black leather flats with gold hardware, sparkly silver was the next logical choice. I suppose I could have then modified my other accessories, but I was determined to wear them. Even if the shoes ruined everything.
