Fashion Feud, Round 2

Earlier in February I had the privilege of judging Fashion Feud – San Francisco’s version of a real-life Project Runway.

It was such a fun experience to share my perspective on fashion with the crowd, and to meet and hang out with my fellow judge, Laura Roblee of Alley Collection.

Friend and fellow blogger Mignon of The Chic Spy was there, as was my friend Emily, who showed us what was in the gift bag. Yes, that’s a whoopie cushion on the left.

Both of the designers, Chrystine Druge and Krisztina Lazar, were clearly very talented and made complicated pieces in the hour time-slot. Druge made separates, which, if you’ve ever seen Project Runway and heard the designers bitching about it, you know is difficult to do. Especially with only several minutes at most to do the fitting. Kudos to her for that!

Lazar, the winning designer, made a dress with details on the front and a huge surprise in the back. Anybody who’s heard me talk of my love for 70s fashion knows that I LOVE volume, so I was delighted with Lazar’s dress.

The next Fashion Feud (round 3) takes place the day after tomorrow – Tuesday, March 1, 8pm at the Rickshaw stop. Unfortunately I can’t make this one, but if you haven’t been to a Fashion Feud yet – what are you waiting for? The next one is sure to be as fun and impressive as the previous two.

And lastly, I leave you with this incredibly flattering photo of me in action:
