Traveling light: 1 skirt, 3 ways

I recently took a ~3 week trip to the East Coast and let me tell you, packing for this trip was a bitch! Packing always makes me anxious because I can’t possibly know what I’ll want to wear each day, and I can’t bear the thought of being dissatisfied with my wardrobe choices. But I may have finally hit upon a threefold recipe for success:

1. pack at least one thing that you can wear a few ways. Whether a tunic that doubles as a dress or something that looks good belted or baggy, packing versatile items maximizes wardrobe choices while minimizing bulk in your suitcase.

This flowy, comfortable skirt was perfect to wear sitting in a car for 5-6 hours, driving between Boston and Montreal (top left, bottom left). I converted the skirt into a strapless dress, attempting to keep cool at the Brooklyn flea market in NYC.

Stay tuned for steps 2 and 3!
