Traveling light: a blank canvas

When taking any trip, but especially a long one, it’s important to pack thoughtfully so that you don’t run out of things to wear or become completely dissatisfied with your wardrobe choices. Monday I presented step 1 of my threefold plan for successful packing. On with the show!

2. bring a blank canvas. Pack a few basic things that work well with different accessories so you can change your look without bringing extra bulk. It helps if you can also bring an abbreviated set of accessories and rotate them through the outfits as well.

All of these dresses are fairly basic – natural and neutral colors, basic cuts, easy yet flattering materials. Unfortunately I don’t have the photographic proof, but I did in fact wear each of the dresses multiple times, switching up the shoes, belts and necklaces between them.

Stay tuned for step 3!
