Did you know that Jessica Simpson makes bedazzled roller skates? Roller skating rinks were such a joyous and exciting part of my childhood, seeing that roller skates are not just still around, but fancy, brings me joy. How did I discover these, you may ask? Have I resolved to take up roller skating this year? No. My knees are terrified at the thought! See, what had happened was…
I was looking for boots.
The other day I decided that ALL my boots were too complicated to pull on and/or lace up, and I needed something simpler. These boots are not simple! But I was immediately drawn to them, and chased them all over the Internet to find my size. I found them at Nordstrom, Macy’s, DSW, Zappos, even Dillards and Belk! I was, as the kids say, doing the most. And last but not least (actually not last, somewhere in the middle), I went directly to the source at JessicaSimpson.com. THAT is where I spotted the bedazzled roller skates, and where this whole thing began.
Bedazzler Not Required!
All of that chasing was worth it just to know that bedazzled roller skates are out there in the world. Seriously! I didn’t roller skate a ton as a kid, but going to the roller skating rink was always a treat. I wasn’t even sure if roller skating rinks existed anymore, or if they had gone the way of Blockbuster, payphones, landlines, or many of the other defunct, nostalgia-inducing, fixtures of my 80s/90s childhood. Apparently the 90s are “in”, and while I do not wish to return to wearing chokers butterfly clips, or bootcut jeans, I fully support roller skates. Bonus: these ones have light-up wheels!
Are you as excited as I am about these skates? Did you already know that Jessica Simpson makes bedazzled roller skates, or was this a TIL (today I learned)?
What's your opinion?
