{Five Favorites} Fringe Benefits

clothes and accessories with fringe.

This probably shouldn’t come as a revelation, but I recently realized that I’m super into fringe. I mean, I’ve always known that I’ve liked it… but I’ll just tell the story.

So I was recently browsing J.Crew’s sale section — which, let’s be real, I do almost daily — and I saw a really cute green sequined top and sequined dress. It seemed like the perfect daytime sequined stuff. I ordered both, assuming that one would work, and neither did. And then I realized: I love sequins in theory, but I’m just not a sequins girl. No matter how casual the underlying fabric, it’s a lot of look. Plus sequins are kind of heavy, and here’s the real kicker – they ALWAYS get caught in my hair hair. And that hurts.

But obviously I like a little drama and pizzaz in anything I wear, and then somehow it dawned on me: I adore fringe and I ALWAYS need way more of it in my life. So with that, I bring you 5 fringed things that I want like, yesterday. Most of them are under $100! There’s a good chance you’ll see some of this stuff in an outfit post soon. ; )

Honorable Mentions go to the fringed pants and fringed shorts in the first photo. By the time I discovered the Club Monaco pants they were sold out in my size everywhere. Trust me, I looked! I’m 100% not a shorts person, but that hasn’t stopped me from trying to find a pair that might work for me. I just ordered these Black Denim shorts and bought the last one in my size. They were final sale, but for $30 that’s a gamble I’m willing to take!

I’m actually keeping an ongoing collection of fringed things at Keep.com, and this week I’m their guest stylist! Check it out!
