Wedding season: bridal showers, bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinners and the weddings themselves! 2015 is a big year for me, with a combined NINE wedding events this year. I’ve blogged before about my stable of dresses that I wear come wedding season, but it looks like I’m due for an update because I now have a whole new rotation of dresses.
I fell in love with this Etro wrap dress from the Real Real and decided it would be a good idea to buy it and put it into the rotation. I also had a great time with my beauty routine. There’s just something about being in a hotel and knowing that you’re getting all gussied up for a special event to inspire you to spend a little bit more time on your look. That being said, even though I gave myself (and used up) a whole hour for my hair and makeup, I’m not sure the results are that noticeable. The hair is pretty self explanatory. For the makeup I used primer, did my eyebrows, put on eyeliner, an eyeshadow crayon, mascara, and of course, lipstick. It probably just took an hour because I’m slow.
The setting of the wedding was a gorgeous barn in the Hudson River Valley, and of course the best part was spending time with friends and seeing two people I love celebrate the most important day of their lives!
