Last week I told a friend that my #selfcaresunday was one of the best days of my life/recent memory. She told me that I needed to work less and relax more. She’s probably (definitely) right. I’m really glad I took that weekend to relax before launching into finals. I have extensions on most of my assignments (because of this), but I’m still stressing, because I still have stuff due this week, and it always seems physically impossible to complete everything, and to do it well, by the deadline. I procrastinated a lot today by instagramming cookies; tidying my apartment (which was important for my sanity, I think?); updating my LinkedIn/applying for an internship; and now, this – writing a blog post. In general my rule for myself is that if I procrastinate it has to be productive, so at least on Friday when will probably have been up for 24 hours straight, I can look at my bookshelf and take solace that my books and magazines are organized. And that maybe someone somewhere is looking at my resume. But I will probably (definitely) have eaten all the cookies by then.

About the outfit: I’m not really sure if the jacket goes with the top, but they’re both by one of my all-time favorite brands, Ace & Jig, so it felt right. I bought both the top and jacket at a sample sale, but you can check out current Ace & Jig stuff on their website, at Shopbop and at Barney’s.
