One theme that’s come up in my semester+ of graduate school at Parsons is how western “international” fashion is. There are really only a handful of well-known non-European/American designers out there. And while it’s not uncommon for American or European brands to claim inspiration/identity in their countries or cities of origin (DKNY, for example), there are few if any non-Western brands that do the same. So I was delighted and intrigued to get a firsthand look at Mongolian-inspired fashion.
My favorite looks from the show are above. I was SUPER into the pink leather fringe pieces. How could I not – that’s basically 3 of my favorite things!
