This is the look I wore on Friday, day 2 of New York Fashion Week. I was pretty pleased with the outfit I assembled, and even MORE pleased when I discovered it was featured in street style slideshows in the Huffington Post (here too) and Essence.com! I was shot by countless other photographers, including a guy from the New York Times, but didn’t see it on any other news outlets. If you spot me somewhere else, please let me know!
Oh, and let me tell you the story of these sunglasses: they look really cool, but they’re not fancy at all. Earlier in the week I met up with a friend to go hiking. While running for the bus a different pair of cheap-o sunglasses fell off my face and broke. I absolutely had to have sunnies, so I popped into Walgreens resigned that I’d have to wear an ugly pair for the day. I spied these $10 gold stunners, and the rest is history.
