Remember Stella from Project Runway (season 5), and how much she LOVED leather? “Leathah” with a hard ‘l’ and aspirated ‘r’. Well she was before her time, because leather is certainly having a moment right now (sorry PETA and vegans). Here’s the thing though: leather can be a lot to take in. It’s a big statement to make – and one that does all the speaking for you. Inspired by a new(ish) jacket that I can’t get enough of, I realized that sometimes with leather, less can be more. A contrast leather accent on an otherwise ordinary item provides much more of an element of surprise – and intrigue. There were far too many items to post here, so check out my Pinterest to see several more takes on this trend (33, to be exact).
