{Life/Style} Dressing Down

I didn’t expect to post this outfit. It was something I really just threw together, but I received so many compliments I figured it might actually warrant a post. This illustrates one of my personal wardrobe philosophies: looking good isn’t all about wearing “nice” or “fancy” things, or being “dressed up” all the time. It’s about having stylish, suitable clothes for every occasion. Even the times when you don’t feel like getting dressed. I could have been in a t-shirt and jeans, but instead I wore a soft chambray shirt, leggings, and riding boots. Same difference, except one outfit looks way better.

Chambray top – Graham & Spencer (similar); leggings – American Apparel (similar); boots – Donald J. Pliner; jacket – under.ligne by doo.ri; earrings – Bauble Bar; necklaces – J. Crew, Sunhee Moon, Serafina; bangles – Amrita Singh, vintage Bakelite, Bloomingdale’s, Kate Spade; rings – Azil, Therapy.
