Outfit: Trotting Out My Turban

With Erin Hiemstra of Apartment 34.

With Carlina Harris of  Allergic to Vanilla (left) and another blogger.

Kelly Wearstler hosted the kick-off party for Lucky FABB last Sunday, and I was determined to wear my turban. I initially thought it would need to be a signature piece, the statement-making part of an outfit. But having it as the only focal point just didn’t feel right. I realized that in order for the turban to be a seamless part of the look, I would need several points of intrigue. Thus, the fringe sleeve dress, and contrasting pops of color. I absolutely love how it turned out and got mad compliments… and I will be the first to admit that this is quite possibly the best outfit I have ever worn.

Dress – vintage; turban – Anthropologie; jacket – Banana Republic; bag – Banana Republic; shoes – Seychelles; necklace – Banana Republic; earrings – Kate Spade; ring – Yves Saint Laurent
