{Photoshoot} Going Back In Time With the Styley

Last August my friend Kate took some photos of me for her blog, the Styley. In addition to the photoshoot I answered a few questions that she posed to all of her Styley friends. Then Kate got really busy with work and being featured in a couple of art exhibits in San Francisco, so she just got around to posting the feature last week. What’s cool is that I answered her questions right before (or was it right after?) leaving my job at Facebook, and I answered the new set of questions right after ending the film festival. So to me this whole feature has become somewhat of a time capsule. A brief portrait of me last August:

1) Where do you live? In the Mission, near all the fun stuff!
2) What do you do? I worked at Facebook for 3.5 years, but I just left my job (!)
3) How would you describe your style? “Minimalist bohemian”. I like to look a little bit different every day, but my staples are playing with color, texture and volume.
4) What inspires you? Everything.
5) What do you value most in the world? Over the past couple of years I’ve learned that only good things can come from following my creative impulses. Now I’m trying to make the space in my life commensurate with how important it feels.
6) What would you do if you knew you would not fail? I’m about to find out! I’m not afraid of failure, I’m excited to see what I accomplish.
