Near my office in Palo Alto are several wonderful clusters of jasmine bushes. Sometimes, as the day drags on, there is no better pick-me-up than wandering by a jasmine bush and breathing in the fragrant scent. I walked by one of the bushes the other day and there was no longer enough jasmine in bloom to perfume the air, so I picked a sprig to carry with me.
I love putting flowers in my hair and it went with the outfit… but when does a flower in your hair ever NOT go with an outfit? It’s always a nice touch.
The thing about the rest of this outfit was that the temperature in Palo Alto was high 70s/low 80s, while back in San Francisco it was mid 60s at best. If I don’t have plans after work it’s not a problem, but I knew I would be out and about in the city after work so I had to wear something that could transition to a 15º temperature drop.
The jasmine stayed fragrant all evening and into the night. Keeping it behind my ear was the perfect place for my nose to savor the sweet smelling scent.
