Last Sunday I checked out Chicago’s coolest new aggregation of amazing food and fashion: Dose Market. Created and curated by four extremely in-the-know women, the venue looked small, but the well-selected vendors packed a pretty punch.
Coming in, I was most excited to finally meet Arlene and Brandon of Twenty Thirty Forty.
I’ve been a fan of their blog and online shop, TwentyThirtyForty.net for years. What I love about them is that they choose items that are both chic and interesting, and they style EVERYTHING. It’s a thoughtful way to help their readers understand how the pieces might fit in their wardrobe. It’s like having a cool magazine editor help you get dressed. And they style women in real life, too! They mentioned to me that they’re working on some changes to their website, so check it out now, and then stay tuned for the reveal.
After meeting Arlene and Brandon I continued to circulate the market, and happened upon some great vintage finds.
Deliciously Vintage had some serious Rock N Roll pieces. Including this cognac colored YSL leather jacket:
My favorite new vendor was Ashley Scott, creator of the super cool Ashley Drapes line of jewelry and hair pieces.
I probably spent a good 10 minutes trying on nearly everything at her table, including the earrings that’s she’s wearing:
These ones were too intense for me, but I came away with a fabulous pair of earrings that I’ll feature in my next outfit post! And speaking of outfits, isn’t Ashley’s outfit so rad?!
Dose Market, of course, wasn’t just about fashion. I also found some amazing food:
The best/only lemon bar I’ve ever found since going gluten-free. And they ship outside of Chicago! This bakery will change my life.
If you’re ever in Chicago the first Sunday of the month be sure to check out Dose Market. You will not be disappointed.
