Long served by the Alameda Point Antiques Faire (aka the Alameda Flea Market), the SF Bay Area has a new option coming to town this weekend. Enter: the Treasure Island Flea Market.
The mission of Treasure Island flea is, according to the website, to “provide an affordable platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative ideas and products directly to the end customer.” Entrepreneurs Angie & Charles Ansanelli came up with the idea two years ago when they wanted to sell samples from their clothing line, and had no venue with which to do it. This flea market seems like it will have a decidedly entrepreneurial slant, and I can’t wait to check it out this weekend.
May 28 & 29
9am – 4pm
$6 admission
Check out the website for more information.

The deal ends at midnight tonight.
