Outfit: A Chic Cocoon

I wore this outfit to brunch in Noe Valley the other day. Before brunch I had to hit up an ATM on Mission St near my apartment, and I definitely felt people looking at me. It’s a lot of look for a Saturday morning! It occurred to me that people might see the men’s jacket and think I was doing the walk of shame but I didn’t care because I thought I looked fabulous. I was also determined to wear that jacket because it feels like a cocoon and that’s what I wanted that morning.

Sorry for the creepy no-head shots. There was some stuff going on with my camera (which I didn’t notice until I was done with the shots) which rendered the top part of the shot unusable. I don’t have a close up of the shoes, but they’re the same ones I wore here.

Sweater dress – Jeremy’s
T-shirt – Gap
Sweater jacket – J. Crew mens (taken from a dude)
Shoes – Jeffrey Campbell
Necklace – J. Crew
Knuckle-buster ring – Luv A.J. (from the Common)
Other ring – Reaction by Nervous System
Bag – vintage Jill Stuart
Sunglasses – bought in Morocco

Maybe they were staring at you because you looked stylish, badass and generally awesome? 🙂 I love the cream of your sweater and that beautiful bag nestled among all the black, it looks very chic!

Nice! I like how you accessorized your outfit, the necklace is a great statement piece, plus the whimsy of the rings. Hey, any suggestions where to get leggings? I am looking for a more heavy weight kind, solid as opposed to sheer.
