When booties first started appearing in stores I didn’t know what to make of them. Somewhere in between pumps and boots, they just seemed strange. Fast forward to now, I have two pairs (one closed-toe, one peep-toe) and I’m craving more. Closed-toe booties are a great cold weather alternative to pumps or flats when paired with skirts and tights. In transitional weather, open-toe booties are a cool way to show off your toes while protecting the rest of your feet. In balmy San Francisco they’re handy all year round.
There are so many styles that I want it would be impractical – and impossible – to buy them all, so instead I’ll share them here with you.

See, what would I do with 13 pairs of booties? I love all of them, but I think my favorites are both the Loeffler Randall peep-toes, the Irregular Choice, and the shearling topped clogs at Anthropologie. Which ones do you like the best?
