One of the reasons I love J.Crew – and wear it often – is that they do such a great job with beautiful prints and patterns. Madewell (J.Crew’s “little sister”) generally isn’t on my radar for prints and patterns, but it looks like they’re catching up!
J.Crew excels in creating beautiful prints each season (or even more frequently) and offering each one in multiple SKUs. For example, this bow print comes in a sweater, sleeveless top, scarf, umbrella, datebook, and pouch; and this colorful houndstooth pattern comes in a sweater, skirt, shoes, and bag.
Meanwhile, over at Madewell, I LOVE this painted floral print which comes in a blouse, a maxi dress, and a shorter dress. Sadly the top is sold out, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it gets restocked. Or who knows - maybe Madewell will issue more SKUs in that print! (a girl can dream.) I'm also quite taken with this constellation print, which comes in a scarf and a pouch. #PrintGameStrong! If Madewell keeps this up I will have another brand to add to my go-to list for discovering new prints. Do you have a favorite place for prints?
