This outfit was inspired by a good hair day. My hair was really neat, so I felt like my outfit should be, too. Or something. It made sense in my head!

I tried out Living Proof’s curl conditioning wash, curl detangling rinse, and curl defining styling cream. I was initially really pleased with the results. I felt like my curls were super calm and under control which is a rare occurrence! The only thing is that the curl defining styling cream wasn’t moisturizing enough. By the end of the day my hair felt dry and brittle. Thankfully I have DevaCurl’s Set It Free which I don’t really use on its own, but which is excellent when my hair needs a little extra help. The one other thing about the curl defining styling cream is that you can’t use it on dry hair – and not being able to use curly hair products on dry hair is a pet peeve of mine! But summer is coming so I anticipate lots of wet hair and thus lots of under-control curls.

FYI, right now at Sephora if you spend $25 you get minis of the curl conditioning wash and curl defining styling cream (with code “curlduo”), plus, they’re being offered as samples at check-out too. I’m not being paid to say this – I just figured if I’m talking about the products I should mention how to get them for free (er, free-ish)!
