{Life/Style} My Olivia Pope Moment

As soon as I stepped out of the Banana Republic Factory store’s fitting room in this dress, my friend Caity exclaimed “that is an Olivia Pope dress!”. So of course I bought it. I haven’t started watching Scandal yet, but I love the idea of it. I keep trying to decide if I want to start Scandal or Homeland first, and in my indecision I haven’t started either. But nobody really talks about what Carrie Mathison wears, so I’ll choose Olivia Pope’s wardrobe over hers any day!

PS – don’t forget to vote in VZW4ChangeSF, there are just 4 days left!

Dress – c/o Banana Republic Factory (very similar) // Shoes – Zara (similar) // Bag – Clare Vivier // Necklace – Ted Baker // Bracelets – Lele Sadoughi (as a necklace), Stella & Dot // Rings – Stella & Dot, vintage // Sunglasses – Fine Arts Optical

Haha, it is an Olivia Pope dress! I could definitely see her in this. And she is a very stylish fox, so that’s completely a good thing.

Also, I enjoyed Scandal more than Homeland, although I agree that Homeland is better done overall (writing, directing, etc.). I found Carrie from Homeland to be somewhat annoying, but I think Olivia Pope is the ultimate lady on TV these days. She’s a smart badass who hasn’t lost touch with her emotions. I’d highly recommend!

Thanks! As soon as I get an open weekend I plan to start a Scandal marathon 🙂 Hopefully I’ll be all caught up in time for season 4!
