A note about this outfit, and January in general: The next several outfit posts will introduce a lot of new items. Between finally having a paycheck and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday/after-Christmas sales, December was kind of one huge shopping spree. That was okay. After a year and a half of frugality, getting tired of my wardrobe, and no longer fitting into half of my closet, I gladly anticipated a refresh. But it’s a new month, a new year, and time to get my financial house in order. I put myself on a shopping freeze for the entire month of January. Reminiscent of my shopping cleanse a couple years back, but with a couple of different caveats: I’m allowed to buy books and magazines, and something at Anthropologie because my birthday is this month, and they always send a 15% the month of your birthday. I’m not letting that go to waste!
