Outfit: Red(ish), White and Blue

Happy 4th of July!

So far this weekend has, quite appropriately, produced a bevy of barbecues. Well, only two. But that’s two more than I went to last year! On Saturday I wasn’t even  trying to be patriotic, I just wanted to wear a new skirt.

Part of me really wanted to wear heels, just for effect. But knowing that I was spending a couple of hours in the park before a barbecue…

I defaulted to my Toms. Unless they were my canvas espadrilles, it would feel weird wearing heels to the park. Incidentally, the two friends I was hanging out with were also wearing coral; we were so on trend!
