Bourgeois Jetsetting

Being in phase III of my shopping cleanse, I bought a pair of Bourgeois Chic sandals over the weekend. Now, I love an espadrille – it’s a chic summer classic that never gets old. But something else really drew these sandals to me (aside from the glitter). It was the allure of the lifestyle that I envisioned for them – jetsetting to fabulous tropical locations, wearing breezy clothing – being all at once chic and totally relaxed. Hanging out on the Côte d’Azur right after the madness of Cannes has ended, or having brunch on a yacht elsewhere in the Mediterranean. This isn’t my life – yet, but in the meantime I still have plans for these sandals.

Easy summer traveling, brunches, or errands around the city:

The most important aspects to both of these looks is to keep the basic outfit in neutral tones and naturally-occurring colors while using the accessories to accentuate and define the character of the ensemble. I can’t wait to go into my own closet and use these espadrilles to channel my inner Mediterranean jetsetter.

Where I found the items:
Banana Republic
Thread Social (the Outnet)
Lizzie Fortunato (Shopbop)
Ruche
Kenneth Jay Lane (the Outnet)
Donna Karan (the Outnet)
Bop Bijoux (Shopbop)
Gap
Vogel 10

    Hi there.
NO NO NO! I was on vacation in San Francisco and saw the amazing Bourgeois Chic shoes at Dish. They only had one pair left of two different styles of shoes and said they will not be getting any more in and weren’t willing to order a pair for me. I have had so much trouble finding any other stores that carry them. Any other ideas? Much thanks.

oh no! i’m sorry to hear that. The brand is small, based in Brazil and hard to find. I just did a quick search of some online retailers (Nordstrom’s, Endless.com, Zappos.com, Bloomingdale’s) and didn’t find anything.
